Alejandro Garnacho on brink of £40million Chelsea transfer from Man Utd

MANCHESTER UNITED outcast Alejandro Garnacho is closing in on a move to Chelsea.

The 21-year-old's future at Old Trafford was thrown into doubt earlier this year when he clashed with head coach Ruben Amorim .

Garnacho was axed from the squad following the Europa League final in May and has not made a single appearance this season.

But his turmoil is now set to end, with Chelsea on the verge of completing a deal.

The Blues are hoping to see a bid worth up to £40million accepted by United in the coming days.

There is increased confidence that a move will be completed before the transfer deadline next Monday.

Garnacho is only pushing for a move to Chelsea.

The forward has been surplus to requirements at United following the arrivals of Matheus Cunha , Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko this window.

His arrival at Chelsea could prompt the departures of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku .

Both players have been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.

Jackson has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich and is now expected to complete a loan move.

Meanwhile, Nkunku has been linked with Aston Villa , Newcastle and Bayern.
