Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller has made his feelings clear about a move away from the Bundesliga club this season amid ongoing transfer links with Arsenal.

The Gunners are among the latest top European clubs to have been linked with a move for the defensive midfielder, with Manchester United and Real Madrid tipped to make a move for the 24-year-old in the recently closed summer transfer window.

A report from Caught Offside claims United tried to sign Stiller in an attempt to bolster their midfield options, but the player is said to have rebuffed their approach.

"I'm not currently thinking about moving," he said last week when asked about a potential transfer in an interview with German media. "I've discussed it with my management that this is out of the question for me right now.

"I'm a regular and leading player here (for Stuttgart). The most important thing for my development is that I get my minutes—especially in a World Cup year. I definitely didn't want to jeopardize the World Cup."

However, the German midfielder did not rule out a move away at some point in the future, making it clear he wants to play in the United States towards the end of his career.

Stiller also hinted that he could follow Florian Wirtz with a move to the Premier League having kept a close eye on his transfer.

"Basically, I'm attracted to moving abroad at some point," Stiller added. "I thought Florian Wirtz's decision to go to Liverpool was cool.

"One thing is clear to me: At the end of my career, I absolutely want to play in the USA, in the MLS. This plan, this goal, is 100 percent."
