Odegaard has endured an injury-hit campaign having missed the Manchester City match with a shoulder problem.

And he looks set to miss several more matches after leaving the Emirates in a knee brace.

Mikel Arteta shared an update on the injured pair, warning Odegaard's injury could be serious.

He said: “He [Odegaard] had a clash, knee to knee. Immediately he was uncomfortable.

“He’s not positive about it. He has a brace on it. Hopefully it's not that bad.

“With Declan [Rice], he was struggling with a back pain. He asked to come off.”

Rice was brought off in the 78th minute after going to ground and receiving treatment.

The midfielder opened the scoring against his former club and appears to have been taken off as a precaution.

Rice has been ever-present for Arsenal this season but he is now a doubt for England.

The Three Lions face Wales in a friendly on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier against Latvia.
