Brentford new boy proves there's still life after Wissa

Yoane Wissa's Brentford career appears to be nearing an end after his was left out for Saturday's Premier League encounter with Aston Villa.

Keith Andrews confirmed that he had taken the decision to stand down the DR Congo international as he continues to seek a move to Newcastle United.

But Dango Ouattara is already proving that there is potentially life after Wissa by opening the scoring against the Villans at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The winger's first goal for the west Londoners underlined why they paid a reported £42.5m to prise him from top-flight counterparts Bournemouth earlier this summer.

Although his initial effort was saved by Emi Martínez, Ouattara's lighting quick reaction allowed him to follow up with a clinical rebound finish.

Maybe Wissa won't be missed after all!
