But Chelsea fans celebrating a 2-1 victory over the Scousers at Stamford Bridge surrounded him and started chanting and banging on the bus’s front window.
To make matters worse, his employer fired him on Monday with immediate effect for wearing his team’s shirt, as it caused "significant disruption and delays".
Isaac said: “They sent the formal email.
“I woke up that morning to do my duty — I didn’t know what route it was.
“The first clean t-shirt I had was a Liverpool one.”
But soon after starting his shift Isaac, who is from south London, realised he would have to drive past Stamford Bridge.
He said: “I realised I was going to go past Chelsea Football Club and then I saw the Chelsea fans outside the stadium.”
The video shows Isaac looking sheepish as jubilant Chelsea fans swarm his bus.
He added: “If you see the video, it looks humourous, but it was scary.
“They were sliding the window open and I had to hold it shut.
“They literally surrounded me in the bus.
“Eventually, the police got them away from the bus and I got back to the depot.”
Company A1 Transport Recruitment, who provide agency staff to Transport for London , let Isaac go on Monday following the incident.
In a statement they said: “Due to GDPR, we are unable to comment on this matter. This is being dealt with through internal processes.”
Isaac blames Tfl and Sadiq Khan for the sacking, telling TalkTV : “I don't see any care in TfL anymore. I don't think it's being operated correctly.
"Maybe in the near future, under a different mayor, probably, then we could see better light in TfL. But at the moment, there's no common sense in the operation whatsoever.”
