Cameron Borthwick-Jackson: Former Man United man’s career takes twist
Former Manchester United youth product Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s career has taken a surprising turn.
The left back broke through the United academy and made his debut back in 2015 under Louis van Gaal.
The 28 year old made 14 appearances during the season for the Red Devils, including 10 in the Premier League.
He did grab one assist in his Premier League career for United but failed to make any more appearances for the club.
Borthwick-Jackson was sent out on loan to various teams such as Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United and Scunthorpe United before being released in 2020.
Upon leaving Old Trafford, he joined Oldham Athletic permanently but in 2021 left for Burton Albion.
He departed after two years and joined Polish side, Śląsk Wrocław, on a two-year-deal.
The defender terminated his deal with the team from Poland in August 2024 and he has since been without a club.
Leeds All Over website have reported that, Borthwick-Johnson is “part of the latest edition of Baller League UK, an indoor six-a-side tournament headlined by YouTube personalities, ex-footballers and more. It’s what appears to be a revamped version of the iconic Masters Football, but geared to a younger audience.”
He has been picked 26th in the draft by M7 Football Club.

Manchester City’s former player Brandon Barker has also been drafted in to play a part in the new campaign.
