Carabao Cup third round draw LIVE: Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool discover opponents
The Carabao Cup second round is not even finished yet but attention is already turning to the next round. And it's a big one as both the holders and the potential favourites enter the competition.
The Premier League 's European contingent received a bye through into the third round, meaning that Liverpool , Arsenal , Manchester City , Chelsea , Tottenham , Nottingham Forest , Aston Villa and reigning Carabao Cup champions Newcastle are all set to find out their opponents this evening.
Manchester United will also be in the draw but they first have to find a route beyond League Two side Grimsby Town, that game set to get underway at 8pm tonight at Blundell Park. The draw will take place after that game.
There are a further three matches involving Premier League teams scheduled for Wednesday with Fulham, Everton and Brighton all in action.
With all of that being said, follow along the Carabao Cup draw with Mirror Football...

Why is the draw split?
The draw for the third round takes on a slightly different format this time around, with the Premier League's European representatives due to enter the competition.
The third round of the competition overlaps with the Champions League and Europa League, meaning clubs in those competitions will be kept apart.
A pre-draw will thus take place to decide which of the European sides will play at home or away. They will be drawn against eight teams who are not competing in Europe, before the other eight ties will be drawn in the normal fashion.
Got it? Good.
