Chelsea star 'closing in on permanent exit' after agreeing five-year deal with European giants over £30m move

Chelsea and AC Milan have reached an agreement over the permanent transfer of forward Christopher Nkunku in a deal worth £36.2million plus a sell on clause.

Daily Mail Sport reported on Wednesday how talks were advancing over the Blues want-away's exit.

France international Nkunku has been given permission to travel with personal terms on a five year contract already in place. He is scheduled for a medical on Friday.

The 27-year old had also attracted interest from Bayern Munich and his former club RB Leipzig.

Chelsea are continuing discussions with Bayern Munich over the departure of Nicolas Jackson . They have been anticipating an approach from Newcastle United , as they search for strikers to fill the void left by Aleksander Isak's dispute, but despite links, Liverpool are not planning a move for Jackson.

Meanwhile club officials at last tonight reached an agreement with Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho.

Having fallen out with Ruben Amorim, the Argentine has made it clear all summer that he 'only wants Chelsea' and has been left out of every Red Devils squad this season.

The two clubs have agreed on a £40m deal for Garnacho, with a 10 per cent sell-on clause, according to The Athletic.
