And there were no niceties between Kelly and her former club when the two sides faced off in the Women's Super League on Saturday.

Kelly cupped her ear to the City fans after rising from the bench to level the game.

But Iman Beney struck two minutes from time to seal a 3-2 victory for the hosts.

With emotions running high, Kelly went steaming into the back of City's Leila Ouahabi in stoppage time and left her in a crumpled heap.

Bizarrely, Kelly then smiled and began pointing to the Arsenal badge on her shirt.

A social media pile-on followed, with one X user writing: "She's the biggest s***house in the women's game."

Another chimed in with: "She did all this as a sub to go on and lose in the 88th minute."

But some Arsenal supporters jumped to Kelly's defence.

One posted: "It's a little shove, get a grip."

And another wrote: "Too much hate for her for no reason, she's playing football by the way."

Kelly forced her way out of City after falling out of favour with then-manager Gareth Taylor.

The day before she was loaned to Arsenal, Kelly went public with a social media statement about the "disappointing" situation she found herself in with the Blues.

Kelly was a Lionesses hero during the summer - netting the decisive penalty in the Euros final shootout against Spain .
