It sparked bedlam inside Stamford Bridge with Maresca tearing off to join in the celebrations.

When he returned to his dugout the Italian was greeted with a yellow card - his second of the match.

His sending off means Maresca will now serve a suspension.

So assistant boss Willy Caballero will take charge of Chelsea 's next game againt Nottingham Forest .

Maresca will likely not care too much after the dramatic win over title favourites Liverpool .

He had been under a bit of pressure ahead of kick-off following back-to-back Premier League defeats.

Chelsea's task was also made more difficult following the second-half injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Josh Acheampong .

That left the Blues with just one fit centre-back, Jorrell Hato, with Reece James filling in as a makeshift partner.

Chelsea were without several key players including Cole Palmer , Liam Delap and Trevoh Chalobah .

They are now down to just two fit centre-backs - Hato and Axel Disasi, who is a member of the bomb squad.

But Maresca will have been impressed with the fight his patched-up XI showed against the Premier League champs.

Moises Caicedo's stunner was cancelled out by a smart finish from Cody Gakpo.

But Estevao's heroics bagged a dramatic three points for the West Londoners.

CHELSEA scored a stunning late winner as they beat Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Moises Caicedo gave the Blues the lead at home with a wonder strike.

But Chelsea were pegged back when Cody Gakpo equalised for Liverpool.

However, it was Estevao who had the final say as he netted a 95th minute winner to seal all three points.

Yet who was the best player on the pitch?
