We are now into the final month of the summer transfer window - and the month where Premier League football returns - with clubs working to get their squads in shape for the season opener.
It's just over two weeks until Arsenal's first game of the season when Mikel Arteta 's men meet Manchester United at Old Trafford. That showdown takes place on Sunday, August 17 with kick-off at 4.30pm.
That match could see at least one or two Arsenal players make their competitive debuts for the club. The Gunners have signed six new players since the end of last season, with striker Viktor Gyokeres the latest to make the move after signing from Sporting CP this week.
Ahead of the first match, Arsenal continue to work on transfers - incoming and outgoing. With that in mind, here's our latest look at Arsenal headlines doing the rounds;
Eberechi Eze message sent
Eberechi Eze continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal this transfer window, but speculation over his future does not seem to be impacting his performances on the pitch. Despite uncertainty over where he will be playing his football in the new season, Eze was again named in the starting line-up for Crystal Palace's pre-season friendly. This time he played against Bundesliga side Augsburg.
The England man played the full 90 minutes of that game and provided an assist to Jean-Philippe Mateta, before scoring himself in a 3-1 win.
The game against Augsburg is also the second time in two games he has been on the scoresheet for Palace during pre-season. The fact that he is continuing to get his head down, work and score goals despite the speculation over his future is a good sign for Arsenal over his character.
That, and the goals and assists, should lead to Arsenal pushing for the player before the end of the window.
Real Madrid star monitored
Arsenal are one of the teams keeping an eye on the situation surrounding Real Madrid winger Brahim Diaz - according to reports in Spain.
Football Espana report Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso has told the player that he won't be a regular starter in the new season, and that has led to clubs showing an interest in him. Three Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly willing to pay €40million (£34.9m) for the player, but they face competition from clubs including Arsenal, Fenerbahce and AC Milan who are all keeping a close eye on the situation in case he becomes available.
Brahim has reportedly agreed a new long-term contract with Real Madrid, but is yet to put pen-to-paper.
His future could, possibly, depend on what happened with Rodrygo - if Real Madrid are unable to sell the Brazilian this summer, then they could potentially make Diaz available. It's perhaps one to keep an eye on.
