Chelsea could still make as much as £55m in player sales before the end of September. The Blues enjoyed a busy end to the summer transfer window, signing Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton and recalling Marc Guiu from Sunderland.

The west Londoners also managed to free up space on the wage bill, but, naturally, some deals collapsed at the eleventh hour. While Chelsea had wrapped up the bulk of their business well in advance of Monday night's deadline, a few players were left without a new club .

Fortunately for those who face uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge, the transfer window remains open in some countries . The deadline in England, Germany, Italy, France, Scotland, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands has already passed.

The transfer window in the United States also recently closed , slamming shut on August 21. This leaves Belgium and Switzerland (Monday, September 8), Turkey and Greece (Friday, September 12), Serbia (Wednesday, September 17), and Saudi Arabia (Tuesday, September 23) as possible destinations.

Raheem Sterling

Fulham had shown interest, and they even held talks with Sterling's entourage, but nothing materialised in the final hours of the transfer window. The England international, who's now only valued at £8.7m by Transfermarkt , has recently entered the final two years of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Axel Disasi

A trip to the Vitality Stadium never materialised. It's understood that the Club World Cup champions would prefer a permanent departure for Disasi, but they could be inclined to accept a loan with a fee.

The £19m-rated centre-back , whose contract at Stamford Bridge expire in June 2029, was training away from the first team ahead of Monday night's deadline.

Tyrique George

George had informed Chelsea of his desire to leave earlier in the summer. It's understood that the teenager was concerned about his pathway into the first team following the arrivals of Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho.

David Datro Fofana

David Datro Fofana also faces an uncertain future at Chelsea. According to the BBC , the 22-year-old striker saw a deadline day loan move to Charlton fall through at the eleventh hour.

He spent the first half of last season on loan at Göztepe in the Turkish top-flight before suffering a knee injury and returning to Cobham. Datro Fofana, who's priced at £5.2m by Transfermarkt , sees his contract at Stamford Bridge expire in June 2029.
