France predicted XI v Iceland: Marcus Thuram and Michael Olise to start

France will have to do without Paris Saint-Germain duo Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué as they continue their FIFA World Cup qualification campaign against Iceland on Tuesday.

Dembélé and Doué both sustained muscle injuries during Friday’s win over Ukraine. The former is expected to be out for six weeks and the latter for around one month. In their place, Marcus Thuram is expected to come into the team with France opting for a 4-2-3-1 with Kylian Mbappé up top.

Thuram will play off the left with Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise in the No.10 role and Bradley Barcola coming in off the right. Aurélien Tchouaméni and Manu Koné are expected to retain their places in Les Bleus’ midfield. Theo Hernandez could come in for Lucas Digne at left-back.
