Gary Neville hammers 'same old Arsenal' and aims brutal dig after Liverpool defeat

Gary Neville claimed it was "same old Arsenal" after they lost at title rivals Liverpool - with the Sky Sports pundit accusing the Gunners of lacking the "courage to think they can win".
Mikel Arteta's side had the chance to lay down an early marker in the Premier League and end their poor run of results at Anfield, but left with nothing despite being very much in the contest for long periods.
Dominik Szoboszlai came up with a stunning winner as his free-kick less ten minutes from the end thundered past David Raya . He celebrated in front of the Kop as the travelling Arsenal fans were left frustrated once more. The reverse continues their poor record at some of the biggest teams in the league.
Arteta is yet to win at Anfield or the Etihad and has also struggled at St James' Park. Neville accused Arsenal of lacking the cutting edge and belief that would see them win big games - which is a recurring theme.
He said on commentary: "Same old, same old for those Arsenal fans - they've seen this before. They look comfortable in a big game, but at this moment in time haven't got that risk in their game, that courage to go and think they can win."
Neville pointed to Arsenal's lack of success when visiting some of their main Premier League rivals and suggested that their continued shortcomings should see questions asked. He said: "There's a little bit of a pattern, particularly at those top four grounds. You'd say they are the toughest to go to. Newcastle , coming to Merseyside and the Etihad - and you have to ask why.
"Liverpool have got what Arteta and Arsenal haven’t got right now – that edge, that something, that mentality to go and win big matches at big away grounds. Liverpool believe they should be winning these matches and I’m not sure Arsenal do. They’re happy not to lose and it’s costing them.
Arsenal headed to Liverpool boasting new signings Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke - the latter proving to be a constant threat. Eberechi Eze then came on later in the game but Neville claims they are too willing to accept a draw.

He said at full-time: "Arsenal have waited in this second half. And you can't wait in big matches and they keep waiting in big matches. They keep thinking a draw is a good point away from home."
That has been raised as an issue before regarding Arteta's Arsenal side, who have finished second in the league for three years on the trot. Manchester City star Rodri previously mocked the Gunners for being happy to take a point at their rivals - which cost them two years ago.
The Spaniard said: “When (Arsenal) come here… I saw them… these guys, they don’t want to beat us, they just want a draw… that mentality… we wouldn’t do (it) the same way… and then we catch it."
