Grealish enjoys well-deserved pub session in Sweden after Everton start

JACK GREALISH has celebrated his heady start to life with Everton by enjoying a seven-hour pub marathon in Sweden.

The England winger has been left out of Thomas Tuchel's squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying clashes with Andorra and Serbia .

But Manchester City ace Grealish has made a superb start to his season-long loan with the Toffees.

He set up both goals as David Moyes ' side beat Brighton 2-0 in their debut game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The 29-year-old then assisted twice more in last Saturday's 3-2 win at Wolves.

Grealish, City's £100million record buy from Aston Villa in 2021, went on to celebrate with pals at an Irish boozer in Stockholm.

Mattias Mete, who works at the Auld Dub in the Swedish capital, took a picture with the 39-cap international.

Grealish sat at a secluded table with pals on Sunday, watching Liverpool's 1-0 win over Arsenal on TV .

"He was here to visit," said Mete - himself a former footballer with three Swedish clubs.

"It was a bit shocking to see him come in. You saw him play on Saturday, and then all of a sudden he appeared here out of nowhere.

"They were here for quite a long time. They were here until closing time, so it was a few hours.

"They were here from 4pm, and stayed until 10-11pm approximately. They watched the match between Liverpool and Arsenal .

"He liked the pub! He was happy, and had a good time. We just buzzed a little, and I took a picture [with him].

"You didn't want to disturb them too much, and I was working at the same time.

"They took it easy, and enjoyed the evening. They ate their food and liked the atmosphere, so that was good."

Grealish 's grandparents hail from Ireland, and he won 19 youth caps for the Republic before switching allegiance to England in 2016.

He is next in action when Everton host his former club Villa on Saturday week.
