Jamie Carragher predicts when Man Utd will SACK Ruben Amorim - 'It's inevitable'

Jamie Carragher believes Manchester United sacking Ruben Amorim is "inevitable" and believes he will have been removed from his job before Christmas . Despite enjoying a third win of the season on Saturday the dark clouds are gathering at Old Trafford.
Amorim is about to celebrate his first anniversary as boss in Manchester, although there's been very little to cheer. Since he was appointed United have one of the worst records in the Premier League and that resulted in their worst ever campaign last time out.
This year, despite a full pre-season and more than £200million of new talent arriving, little has changed and Amorim's philosophy is still not bringing any results. The Portuguese coach is wedded to his 3-4-3 formation, which has continued to cause problems for the players.
The United hierarchy have claimed they are behind Amorim and he deserves a season to show what he can do with the team, but Carragher insists the ex-Sporting Lisbon boss won't make December 25.
The Sky Sports pundit said on The Overlap Fan Debate : "I don't like saying a manager should be sacked – it's disrespectful and it's a man's job – but I'm at that point where I do think Ruben Amorim's job is untenable. It's inevitable that this is going to happen before Christmas."
"His stats are unbelievable for a Manchester United manager – 50 games as Manchester United manager, he's only scored two more goals than he's conceded."
During those 50 matches in charge of the club he has yet to lead the club to back-to-back Premier League wins, underlining his struggles. Last season's Europa League final loss - and the performance - was another blow for Amorim.
Already this season United have been beaten by Arsenal , Manchester City and Burnley whilst they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two Grimsby in what was an all-time low.

Carragher's view was backed by United legend Paul Scholes, who suggested the head coach has already outstayed his grace period given how long the poor results have gone on.
"I feel like with Ruben Amorim it's got to the point where we don't want to talk about sacking managers all the time and Manchester United do give managers enough time," he said.
"He'll never get booed by the fans and it wasn't until that Brentford game [where they lost 3-1] where I thought, 'He's getting a little bit too much time' and it feels like it's only a matter of time before things come to an end."
Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
