Lamine Yamal ruled out for weeks with 'discomfort in the pubic area'

LAMINE YAMAL has been ruled out for three weeks after suffering "discomfort in the pubic area."

The Barcelona superstar had already been experiencing issues in the same area earlier this season.

But Yamal was thrust into Barca's XI when the Spanish kings took on reigning holders Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

He played the entire match as Hansi Flick's men lost 2-1 following a 90th minute winner by the French side.

However, Yamal's appearance has come at a cost after he suffered a reappearance of an old injury.

Barcelona confirmed in a statement that "pubic discomfort" had reared its head again.

Yamal has now been ruled out injured for the next three weeks.

And he will miss this weekend's clash against Sevilla as a result.

Barcelona's statement read: "The discomfort in the pubic area that player Lamine Yamal has been experiencing has reappeared after the match against PSG.

"He will be out for the Sevilla game, and the estimated recovery time is 2-3 weeks."
