Alexander-Arnold, 26, is now set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a muscle injury in his leg.
He picked up the injury just FIVE MINUTES into the Champions League win over Marseille last night.
A statement said: "Following tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services on our player, Trent Alexander-Arnold , he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg.
"Further updates will follow."
Madrid managed to win the tie 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu despite Timothy Weah giving the Ligue 1 the lead.
Kylian Mbappe fired home from the spot to drag the hosts level.
He then repeated his success from the spot nine minutes from time to give Xabi Alonso his first Champions League win as Madrid boss.
The injury could keep Alexander-Arnold out of action for between six to eight weeks.
This would see him potentially miss a Madrid derby against Atletico on September 27.
He could also be ruled out of the El Clásico on October 26 and in a worst-case the Champions League match at Anfield against Liverpool.
Speaking last night, Alonso appeared confident that the defender would definitely be out of the weekend fixture against Espanyol .
He said: "We have to be creative in finding solutions.
"[Raul] Asencio came in well.
"[Eduardo] Camavinga and Jude [Bellingham] are back and will be able to play on Saturday."

The blow comes as the former Red has struggled so far on the pitch since his arrival in Spain.
Alexander-Arnold has made four appearances in LaLiga so far this season.
However, his performances were not enough to see him recalled to the England squad by Thomas Tuchel .
