Man Utd legend Steve Bruce SACKED by Blackpool 11 games into season
MANCHESTER UNITED legend Steve Bruce has been sacked as Blackpool manager.
The trigger was pulled following a dismal 2-0 home defeat to newly-promoted AFC Wimbledon.

Bruce leaves the Seasiders second-bottom of League One.
A club statement read: "Blackpool Football Club can announce the departure of Head Coach Steve Bruce, Assistant Head Coach Steve Agnew and First-Team Coach Stephen Clemence.
"The club would like to thank them for their efforts, and wishes them the very best for the future.
"Stephen Dobbie and Steve Banks will take charge of first-team matters until a permanent appointment is confirmed."
Blackpool have won just two of their 11 games played so far in League One and are just one point above bottom-placed Peterborough.
Many fans predicted the AFC Wimbledon game to be win-or-bust - and so it proved.
Two goals from Danilo Orsi spelt the end for the 64-year-old Geordie.
Bruce has managed over 1,000 games and replaced Neil Critchley at Bloomfield Road in September 2024.
