Marseille seal move for Inter central defender Benjamin Pavard
With several hours remaining until the summer market reaches a close, Ligue 1 giants Marseille have sealed a deal for Inter central defender Benjamin Pavard .
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports , via FcInter1908 , the French international is set to join former Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi’s side on a loan with an option to buy worth €15m.
Following a difficult season last year in which the former Bayern Munich defender suffered several injuries that kept him held at bay, the Nerazzurri have decided to move on from the 29-year-old.
Hence, the Biscione have completed the pursuit of Manchester City outcast Manuel Akanji to serve as an ideal replacement for Pavard within Christian Chivu’s three-man backline.
