Moises Caicedo has been left blown away by Estevao Willian ’s performances in training behind the scenes at Chelsea this season.

Estevao registered his first Chelsea goal in the 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Saturday, with the Brazilian winger scoring a dramatic last-gasp winner.

The 18-year-old arrived at Chelsea this summer from Palmeiras with the Blues paying an initial fee of around £29m, which could rise to £51m.

Estevao has played in six of Chelsea’s seven Premier League games so far this season and provided an assist in the win over West Ham in August.

Caicedo singled out his fellow South American after Chelsea beat Liverpool, telling reporters in the mixed zone: ‘Even in training, he (Estevao) is so good.

‘He is showing his quality. We try to help him because the Premier League is so difficult.

‘He is having an impact here. We are so happy with him.’

‘It is too early to say we are going to win,’ Caicedo said. ‘For sure, we want to win the Premier League.

‘We will take it step-by-step because the Premier League is tough, but we are going to do our best.

‘We’ve shown our quality, we’ve shown our character on the pitch. We want to continue this moment.’

Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League last term but have shown they have what it takes to land trophies under head coach Enzo Maresca, winning both the Conference League and Club World Cup in 2025.

Caicedo has enjoyed a fine start to the season, with the Ecuadorian midfielder compared to Chelsea icons N’Golo Kante and Claude Makelele.
