Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson has reached an agreement on a loan move to Bayern Munich, it has been claimed.
Jackson, 24, has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and hasn't featured in either of Chelsea's opening two Premier League fixtures. Joao Pedro and Liam Delap have both been preferred in the squad.
He scored 13 goals in 37 appearances for Enzo Maresca's side last season, adding to the 17 he plunged in his debut campaign. Aston Villa and Newcastle United are among the others that have been linked.
The Blues want to sell Jackson but might have to settle for a loan departure, with Bayern confident of getting a deal signed and sealed before the end of the transfer window.
Indeed, according to BILD , Jackson has now agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga champions. Should Chelsea and Bayern strike an agreement on the structure of the deal, a move could be finalised fast.
Chelsea wanted at least double the £32million they paid to sign him in June 2023, with Jackson still having eight years left on his contract. But Bayern are keen to sign the Senegal international on loan instead.
Jackson's proposed exit would pave the way for the Blues to make a late push to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United and Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. Both players are eager to sign for Chelsea.
It's understood that Chelsea expected to sign Garnacho and Simons before the end of the window. It could then take the club's summer spending to in excess of £300m for the third summer in four.
Like Jackson, Christopher Nkunku is also anticipated to leave Chelsea before next Monday's transfer deadline, with Bayern and Villa chasing a move for the France international. Speaking last week, head coach Maresca: "Christo is with us like Nico, but it’s the same answer as Nico. We'll see if they're going to be here.
"It's always better if they find a solution, as they are going to be more happy - and the club the same. But you need someone that is going to buy you. It's not so easy."
