Nottingham Forest set to stick with Ange Postecoglou for now
Nottingham Forest are expected to retain manager Ange Postecoglou despite a difficult start to life at the City Ground, according to reports from Sky Sports .
The Australian has endured a turbulent opening spell, failing to secure a win in his first seven matches since taking charge less than a month ago. His future has come under early scrutiny, but Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is understood to be leaning towards giving Postecoglou more time to steady the side’s form.
Postecoglou is set to hold discussions with Marinakis during the international break to review the team’s performances and his long-term vision for the club. Sources suggest that the 58-year-old is still expected to lead Forest into their Premier League clash with Chelsea next weekend, a sign that the hierarchy remains cautious about another managerial change so early in the season.
Marinakis is reportedly an admirer of Fulham manager Marco Silva, who previously worked under him at Olympiakos. However, any approach for Silva would be complicated by the substantial compensation required to release him from Craven Cottage, with the Portuguese coach’s current contract running until the end of the season.
For now, Forest appear set to stay the course with Postecoglou, hoping patience can yield stability.
