‘Of course I don’t feel good’ – Furious Erling Haaland tears into Manchester City after Monaco draw
Erling Haaland was furious with Manchester City for failing to seal maximum points against Monaco in the second game of their Champions League campaign.
The Norwegian was at his destructive best on Wednesday night, as he scored two superb goals in the first half.
He prodded home a delicious pass from Josko Gvardiol in the 15th minute before adding another by rising above the defence to send a bullet header across the face of goal.
But the striker’s efforts proved to be insufficient, as the visitors conceded a late penalty goal to play out a 2-2 draw.
Haaland was scathing in his assessment of City’s performance, saying the team didn’t play well at the Stade Louis II.
“Of course, I don’t feel good,” he told TNT Sports. “We didn’t win. We did something unnecessarily in the second half, and I don’t think played good enough, so we didn’t deserve to win.
“We needed more energy. We needed to get at them more.
“As we did in the first hour, we dominated much more, and now in the second half, they took the lead much more, and I don’t think it’s good enough.”

City came into Wednesday’s Champions League tie on the back of an emphatic 5-1 victory against Burnley in the Premier League.
They had an excellent opportunity to claim back-to-back wins. Haaland’s first-half brace put them in the driving seat, but Nico Gonzalez conceded a late penalty by kicking Eric Dier in the face.
The English defender himself stepped up to send Gianluigi Donnarumma the wrong way, sealing the first point for Monaco in the European competition.
City must sort out their defence if they want to be competitive in Europe as well as the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s side have not kept a clean sheet in three of their previous four matches in all competitions.
Rodri hasn’t been the same since returning from his ACL injury, exposing defenders to more transitions and counters.
Donnarumma is an excellent goalkeeper, but he needs more support from the players ahead of him.
