This week it's Liverpool fan and STONE vocalist/guitarist, Fin Power.
When did you start supporting Liverpool and why?
I have been supporting Liverpool for as long as I can remember. I don’t remember life before going to the game with my grandad, who would take me whenever he could get tickets. I come from a long line of diehard Liverpool fans.
My grandad would always take me for a pie before the game and he would explain how it all worked. He was my best friend and we would watch the game together until he passed away a few years back. He was a real good TV yeller.
My dad is also a huge red and he made sure growing up I knew who my team was. I grew up with Steven Gerrard being captain so he was every kid’s hero in my school.
What was your favourite memory of supporting Liverpool as a child?
My favourite memory supporting Liverpool was going to Wembley for the first time with my dad for the FA Cup semi-final in 2012 against Everton when we won 2-1 with Andy Carroll’s last-minute header. I remember the game was so tense as Everton scored first and the atmosphere was electric.
What's gone wrong with Liverpool over the past few weeks?
Every team has its ups and downs and Liverpool have had huge squad changes, so we will have to give them time and be patient with the teething process.
Are you still confident Arne Slot can turn things around and win back-to-back titles?
I am completely confident Liverpool can turn things around and win the league under Slot. You have to always believe until it’s impossible. Not believing in Liverpool would make me not a real fan when you have Istanbul and the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona to back it up.
Please tell us about your latest track, ’NEVER AGAIN’.
‘NEVER AGAIN’ was an ice-cold bucket of water on the music industry to let them know we are loud and back. I can’t wait for you all to hear the album that’s coming.
STONE’s latest single ‘NEVER AGAIN' is out now.
