Peter Crouch busts out robot celebration in iconic mascot appearance
Peter Crouch made an unlikely return to the pitch at the weekend – this time not as a player, but as mascot for non-league side Farnham Town FC.
The former England striker towered over players, mascots, and even the match officials as he walked out ahead of Farnham’s Southern League Premier Division South clash with Sholing.
The stunt was a forfeit after Crouch finished bottom of his Fantasy Premier League (FPL) mini-league – but for the record crowd at the Memorial Ground, it was anything but punishment.
Cheered on by fellow That Peter Crouch Podcast co-hosts Chris Stark and Steve Sidwell, the 6ft 7in ex-Liverpool and Spurs forward got fully stuck in. He took part in a half-time challenge, slotted home a goal, and broke out his famous robot celebration to the delight of fans.

Crouch also posed for endless selfies, signed autographs, and even joined the other mascots for dinner.
Farnham later hailed him as a class act, writing on Instagram: “What a man @crouchy is! Threw himself into the experience and went above and beyond to make everyone’s day!”
On the pitch, Farnham played out a 2-2 draw to extend their unbeaten start to life in the division – though it’s safe to say the biggest win of the day was Crouchy’s dance moves.
