Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain .
The forward, capped 31 times by the French national team, will don the No39 shirt on arrival in north London.
Speaking after signing, he said he was ready to get started: “I'm really happy and very proud to be at such a great club. I can’t wait to meet my team-mates, all the fans and to get out on the pitch.
"I know what the coach expects from me. I will fight hard for the shirt, the Club and the fans. I will give everything for this team."
Spurs head coach Thomas Frank added that he expected Muani to play a versatile role, refusing to commit when asked about his best position.
“He's a good age, in the prime of his career, has good qualities that will suit both us and the Premier League ,” he said. “He gives us a different option in the final third, being able to play out wide and through the middle.
“Randal is a quality player who has proven himself over a number of years, playing for big teams in the Champions League and also with good experience for the France national team.”
Tottenham have been keen to add a new forward to Frank’s squad before the transfer deadline, and concerns over Dominic Solanke’s fitness served to heighten the need.
Solanke missed the loss to Bournemouth on Saturday with an ankle injury, though Frank at the time played down the need to add reinforcements following the arrival of Xavi Simons for £52million.
But Spurs reignited their interest in Kolo Muani after exploring a loan deal in January, before moving on to sign Mathys Tel.
Kolo Muani had a mixed spell with Juve, which saw him make an instant impact only to struggle for goals as the domestic campaign concluded. The 26-year-old signed off with two goals and an assist at the Club World Cup.
Juve had been in talks with PSG over keeping Kolo Muani but were unable to reach an agreement before Spurs swooped on Deadline Day. The French striker is Frank’s seventh first-team signing of the summer.
