Two European giants 'eye-up deal for Marc Guehi' on a free next summer - after Liverpool's move for Crystal Palace star collapsed on Deadline Day
Marc Guehi is reportedly attracting interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona after the collapse of his Deadline Day move to Liverpool .
Having scored a stunner at Villa Park in what seemed a fitting farewell to Crystal Palace fans on Sunday, the 25-year-old looked destined for Anfield.
The two clubs had agreed a £35million fee and Guehi even completed his medical in London ahead of the completion of the transfer, but at the last minute the Eagles blocked the sale.
Oliver Glasner was adamant that before sanctioning his captain's move, Palace needed to bring in two centre-backs to replace him.
The Eagles managed to complete the signing of French international Jaydee Canvot ahead of the deadline but their other target, Brighton 's Igor Julio, opted for a move to West Ham United, thereby leaving Guehi's dream switch to the Premier League champions in tatters.
The England international will now stay at Selhurst Park until at least January when he will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club come the end of his Palace deal next summer.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are thought to be interested in the England international

And it seems Guehi's already got a star-studded list of clubs vying for his signature, with both Real Madrid and Barcelona keeping tabs on the situation, according to The Sun .
It's currently unclear whether Arne Slot will go back in for the defender on a free next summer, but with just one year left of Ibrahima Konate's Liverpool deal, it remains a possibility.
The failure to get the Gueh transfer over the line was the only blip in what has been an astonishing summer transfer window for the Reds.
The signing of Alexander Isak on Deadline Day for a British record £125m fee took their spending to a whopping £450m after Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Giovanni Leoni all came through the door earlier in the window.
Isak's transfer saga dominated the summer, particularly after he was absent from Newcastle United's pre-season tour of Asia and trained alone.
Eddie Howe always maintained that reintegration was possible, but as they lined up the signings of Nick Woltemade and Wissa, Newcastle finally felt comfortable letting him of their main source of goals.
The Swede arrived on Merseyside late on Monday morning and completed his medical in two parts, then posed for pictures at the AXA Training Centre before departing in mid-afternoon and boarding a 6.30pm flight to Stockholm to join up with his international team-mates.
He said after completing his move: 'It's been a long journey to get here. But I'm super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It's something I'm proud of and I'm really looking forward to it.
'I think I have a lot to give, I think I have a lot to improve. I'm a striker but I always want to give as much as possible to the team, mainly goals but much more than that as well. I want to win everything.'
