Uefa and Super League 'in talks to merge & create new Champions League'
UEFA and the Super League have reportedly been in talks to MERGE and create a new Champions League tournament.
The breakaway league angered fans across the world after 12 major clubs announced they were signing up back in April 2021.

However, the Super League has still lingered over European football despite being left with just Real Madrid as its last member .
And fresh reports claim that talks have taken place between Uefa and the rebels ahead of 2027.
That is an important year, as that is when the current Champions League television rights expire.
This means that the format could be changed yet again into a mix of the current style and the Super League.
Journalist Arancha Rodríguez has claimed that it would keep a league phase and a knockout stage.
It is added that there would be some changes made, especially to the league phase.
The 36 teams would be split into two groups - one would consist of the 18 best teams in Europe according to their Uefa ranking.
The second would be the other 18 but each team would still play eight games but only against teams in their groups.
Qualification for the tournament would remain the same - by the team's performances on the domestic level and their league's coefficient.
Eight of the teams in the top group would qualify for the round of 16.
However, the qualification process for other teams in the round of 32 is still under discussion.
Uefa would remain in charge of the tournament and it would keep its Champions League title.
One major change would come off the pitch with the plan to launch a 'Netflix-style broadcaster'.
This means that the television rights will NOT be sold to broadcasters and would remain with Uefa on its own platform.
Proposed Format:
Broadcast Overhaul (The "Netflix-Style" Broadcaster):
The report claims that the hope would be to make the product more "cheaply available".
It suggests by removing broadcasters that prices could drop or even be FREE on some games with Uefa earning from ad revenue.
