UWCL DRAW: Manchester United to face SK Brann in third qualifying round

The draw for the third qualifying round of this season’s competition took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland this morning.

In total, 18 clubs entered the third qualifying round draw. The draw was split into two paths; the Champions Path (made up of eight teams including seven second qualifying round final winners) and the League Path (made up of 10 teams including four second qualifying round final winners). Manchester United went into the draw as one of the five unseeded sides in the League Path.

The draw determined that Manchester United will face SK Brann in the third qualifying round. The tie will be played out in the traditional knockout format over two legs. The first leg will be staged in Norway on 11 September 2025 while the second leg will take place at Leigh Sports Village a week later. The winners will advance to the new 18-team league phase which replaces the old group format.

As the reigning European champions, Arsenal will enter this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League in the league phase. Chelsea will also come in at the same point as a result of their latest Barclays Women’s Super League title win.
