Watch: What sparked the post-match fight between Real Madrid & Barcelona?

Footage of the incident which saw the respective Real Madrid and Barcelona squads face off in an angry post-match exchange has come to the fore online.

And it showcases a few central protagonists.

The latest edition of El Clásico was played to completion a short time ago.

When all was said and done, it was Real Madrid who emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result, in the process snapping their recent losing streak against the club’s arch rivals.

Post-match, though, it is matters not at all involving football which have dominated the headlines.

This comes after the two sets of players were involved in a heated back and forth which almost came to blows.

And as alluded to above, footage showcasing what sparked the incident has since surfaced, too.

The fracas was kicked into gear upon Lamine Yamal and Dani Carvajal exchanging words, during which the latter could clearly be seen urging his compatriot to speak less following Lamine’s infamous jibe at Real Madrid earlier this week.

From here, Eduardo Camavinga attempted to usher the young Barcelona man away from the scene.

Thibaut Courtois, however, then arrived in aggressive fashion, sparking a further war of words with Lamine.

A whole host of players attempted to intervene to calm matters, culminating in a tense scene involving pushing, shoving, and Vinícius Jr. being forcefully dragged away.
