The managerial sack race is still well underway and there are still a number of Premier League managers who could well be shown the door this side of Christmas.

Vitor Pereira is now the odds-on favourite to become the fourth Premier League manager sacked this season, after Wolves' 3-2 defeat to Burnley left them anchored at the bottom of the table. The team conceded a stoppage-time goal to the visitors, after which Pereira was involved in a heated exchange with fans demanding his departure.

It has been a miserable start to new Premier League season at Molineux with the club so far picking up two points from a maximum 27 scoring just seven times and conceding 19. Their only points have come from a trip to Tottenham Hotspur followed by a home draw to Brighton & Hove Albion but have failed to pick up any points including losing to all three newly promoted sides Burnley, Leeds and Sunderland.

Those supporters may soon get their wish, as Paddy Power have shortened Pereira’s odds to 17/20 in their updated market. West Ham’s Nuno Espirito Santo follows at 10/3, just a month after taking charge and having already been shown the door at the start of the season at Forest. Speaking of the City Ground, Sean Dyche is next at 11/2 to become the third manager to get his P45 from Evangelos Marinakis, despite already being Nottingham Forest’s third manager of the campaign.

Other contenders are priced at 10/1 and above, with Liverpool’s under-pressure boss Arne Slot now at 16/1 after suffering a fourth straight defeat - a surprising turn of events given how strong a start he had to life at Anfield last season.
