Zirkzee ready to force Man Utd exit as £43m outcast reaches boiling point

JOSHUA ZIRKZEE is ready to leave Manchester United in January if he continues to be snubbed by boss Ruben Amorim.

The forward, 24, is yet to start a match for the Red Devils this season.

Zirkzee 's lack of game time has also seen him dropped from Ronald Koeman 's Dutch national team set up.

With next summer's World Cup looming, the £43million signing from Bologna is desperate to impress during the second half of the season.

Zirkzee was a regular last season, playing 32 times in the Premier League while making 49 appearances in all competitions.

The six-cap ace scored just three Prem goals, but appeared to have gained Amorim's trust before suffering a hamstring injury at Newcastle in April.

This season he has made just three Prem cameos from the bench, and wasn't even handed a start against League Two Grimsby in the Carabao Cup .

New signings Benjamin Sesko , Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have all leapfrogged Zirkzee in the pecking order, leaving the Dutchman confused about why he's no longer wanted.

United resisted interest in their No11 during the summer, preferring instead to flog Rasmus Hojlund .

Napoli , who signed Hojlund on loan, had initially been keen on Zirkzee.

The likes of Juventus and PSV Eindhoven also showed interest.

Ambitious Serie A side Como could make a swoop for Zirkzee in January, should his position remain unchanged.

And Juve too remain interested.

Zirkzee is under contract at Old Trafford until 2029, with the Red Devils possessing an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.
