Harry Kane's wife, Kate, could halt any return to the Premier League for the Bayern Munich marksman as she continues to love their life in Germany.

Kane made the decision to leave boyhood club Tottenham in 2023 and, despite English interest, chose to move to the Bundesliga giants in a deal worth £100million . He's spent the past two and a bit years paying that fee back with some sensational exploits in the final third.

He has scored 105 times in 109 games and finally ended his wait for silverware. Kane will turn 33 next summer and there have been reports claiming a release clause worth just £56m will kick in at the same time - which has put Premier League clubs on notice.

The England striker is open to a return but Bild reports that his 31-year-old wife will make it clear she wants to remain in Germany. The couple have four children and Kate is enjoying their current lifestyle, particularly the privacy the Kane family are receiving abroad.

Kane has expressed his personal happiness with his situation, admitting: “The way people welcomed us was extraordinary. It touched us deeply as a family, not just me, but all of us. The children go to school and love it. My wife feels very comfortable too. We truly enjoy every second.”

Bayern will equally be loathed to lose Kane, not that he's shown any desire to leave. Top strikers across Europe have shown that age does not mean inevitable decline with the club's former player Robert Lewandowski impressing well into his 30s.

Kane has been tipped to eventually return to Tottenham, but equally would be open to joining another English outfit. The striker's motivation to head back home is unlikely to go with the all-time Premier League goalscoring record within his sights - he's just 47 off Alan Shearer's total.

The striker recently came out and underlined his commitment to the Bavarians, who are top of the Bundesliga and among the contenders for the Champions League . He's even talked up the possibility of extending his deal.

He said: “I am fully all in with Bayern. If there was a conversation about extending then we will see, but I have still got this season and another season. It is not like I am in my last year, it is not like there is any panic. I am calm, I love the manager at Bayern and as long we are improving and I am improving then I am happy to see what we can achieve.”

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
